Yes, they are pricey compared to the Midwestern CAC or your regular vet, and they recently had a pretty significant price increase which hurt my bank account. But it is still totally worth it. Dr. Rachel Venable is incredibly compassionate and understanding when it comes to your pet's and your own needs. My pup was diagnosed with an insulinoma (a very rare pancreatic tumor that causes seizures) last October and after surgically removing it at the MWU CAC (Dr. Lynn Maki is great btw) she was referred to Dr. Venable. Throughout the entire process Dr. V has been super empathetic and knowledgable, helping me navigate issues like finances and being really flexible with scheduling. She never tries to push services or diagnostics on you in a way that makes you feel pressured-everything is up to you. Thanks to the dedicated care of her team and the team at MWU CAC, my pup is doing amazingly well! After 6 months of chemotherapy I am hoping that we can say she is "in remission" or some equivalent to that. Thank you Dr. V and your entire staff.
