Visually Speaking Tattoo is the actual name of the tattoo shop and I specifically was tattooed by JohnnyRay.
As with anyone shopping for a tattoo artist it can be stressful because it's permanent and we also want the best deal in town.
First shop I have had work done by "appointment only". I know understand why. These guys are artist not just someone to tattoo you. The care and involvement with the desire for best work, placement and desire to commemorate why someone is getting the tattoo. In other words it wasn't about just tattooing what I wanted where I wanted but an actual process of learning why and suggesting placement and aesthetics. Something I appreciated. They weren't just after a sale but an experience to be treasured forever.
The shop was clean, inviting and the bathrooms were also very clean. All safety measures were taken to prevent contamination. There was a lot of attention to detail with the set up as well as the work. JohnnyRay was very conscious of cleanliness and not once did I feel any cross contamination would occur.
As far as the actual work. I cannot be more than happy with the results. He has surpassed my expectations and has easily gained a loyal customer.
If your wondering about price well I got you. Before I agreed on the tattoo he did mention he priced with $150 hourly as the standard. I was hesitant at first but after it's all said and done I feel I just ripped him off. With that in mind he didn't drag out the work or purposely take longer for more pay. Yes I thought of that. Very fair pricing. Can't wait for the next.
Truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Hope not soon or I won't be able to afford him.

Oh BTW they use Saniderm to cover the finished tattoo instead of plastic wrap I'm used to. No need to worry about keeping ointment or not getting wet etc on all the rules I'm used too. Now I just wait 5 days and peel. Interesting. We shall see.
