Oh my...where to begin. I should have known dealing with this company was not going to go well from the very start. My family was dealing with a large move and we contacted Seconds City to help us sell some of our belongings. We were put in contact with a woman who said she was one of the owners. (I will not be using names throughout my narrative). We were told to make a list of the items we wanted to sell.
We did just that and scheduled a pick up...and it all went downhill from there. One of the men who came to load up our goods was the biggest a------! He actually yelled at us and starting throwing things into the truck.
My brother called the owner to let her know and she said she was so sorry...and proceeded to admit she knew he was a jerk!
The next step was to get the items put into inventory and make sure our list matched what was delivered to the store. When we called to do so, the owner that we were dealing with told us she was no longer with the company and would pass our account over to one of the other partners.
After several attempt to review our account (including sending a letter to the main owner who never answered)...I finally called and spoke with the manager. I told her I would be in to see her sometime the following week and she said she'd be happy to help with our account. When I went to the store I walked in and was rudely pushed aside buy a man moving a large piece of furniture. Little did he know that I knew he was one of the owners.... Another a------!!! I proceeded to walk to the front desk and ask for the manager who had kindly offered to help with our account. No big surprise here... I was told she was no longer with the company. I figured it was time to cut my losses so I asked them to send a check for what had already sold and left.
That's my story... I hope the owners read this... You know who you are... And you know what happened. I am warning people to stay away and take their items to a more reputable establishment!!!!!
