This was my first pregnancy and was recommended to see Dr. Garg. Upon first meeting, he seemed very upbeat, knowledgeable and kind, but was quick to avoid answering any questions, which made me feel uneasy. The 2nd visit, Dr. Garg was like a completely different person. Not upbeat and again, not answering my questions. Just kind of nodded and repeated "I see". By the 3rd visit, I had a confirmed appointment with Garg, which he ended up on vacation, which they did not tell me about. I ended up seeing Dr. Brill instead, who literally shooed me out the door. He spoke the entire time, not giving me any inch of asking any questions or acknowledgment of how I'm feeling. 4th visit, saw Dr. Ivey, which I brought up my dissatisfaction with the previous doctors. I was hesitant to say anything, as I am not the type to complain, but this being my first pregnancy, I at least wanted a doctor to answer even just one question. Dr. Ivey I did like! She was very personable and patient with me. She is very hard to get an appointment with though! As you can see why, she is the only Dr. There that has a good bedside manner! I became very sick throughout my pregnancy, lost 15 lbs and all the doctors just kept telling me to drink more water, about two gallons a day! At every appointment, I mentioned I did have a problem with my liver, which I was concerned might have been an issue, and all the doctors wouldn't give me any tests to Check nor even care about if I was in pain. Just drink more water they said! They just brushed me off as "one of those" pregnant women who complain of always being sick (which I am not that type either. I have a very high tolerance for pain). I tried switching offices, but no one ever tells you that gyno's won't see you if you are already established with another, while pregnant. I was stuck with this office and it was painful to say the least. Even two years after giving birth, I have the same problems that haven't been solved. I have seen Dr. Schoenhaus and Garg again after giving birth. Not one has ever been able to diagnose me correctly and again, quick to brush me off like I'm in some kind of cattle call and I'm just mooing for no reason. Trust me, I don't moo or complain for the sake of it. Has to be a big reason for me to do so. I was fed up with the Henderson and SW offices so I tried switching to Desert Shores. I saw Tammy Reynolds, who is the absolute BEST by far! She was very patient and answered all my questions. Although even that office somehow messed up with processing my insurance. While I did not have any luck, the Whasn Desert Shores I have heard is the best in town. No matter what Whasn office you visit, they seem to be very unorganized and the front office staff seem to be very dry, overworked and not very welcoming at all. They will process your insurance wrong and then several months later, send you a bill for $3,000! It has happened to me 4 times at 3 different offices, not just Desert Shores. For two years I have been battling the Henderson discharge nurses and finally after two years they corrected the issues. Only come to find out, when I tried booking an appointment again this past month at the Desert Shores location, yet again, the nurse tells me I owe $3,000! Which of course, I don't...I give up at this point. I've changed to a completely different OBGYN/GYNO office. Also, Don't expect any callbacks from any Whasn offices. You will be waiting over a month to hear from anyone!
