The Hilton Cleveland Downtown is fairly new and connects directly to the convention center. The location is fantastic and central to much of what downtown has to offer. Despite the hot and muggy weather, we walked to the Public Auditorium, Public Square, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Mall, Blue Point Grill and Lola's, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and Rebol, and the Peace Memorial Fountain. We also drove to Edgewater Park (only a few miles away) to take photos of the cursive "Cleveland" sign. There is a beautiful bar on the 32nd floor with view of the city and Lake Erie. I'm guessing almost every room has similar views. Mine was hard to leave, as I was able to see the sun rise through the tropical-like clouds each morning. Beds are very comfortable, bathroom is standard with a waterfall shower, and lots of built-in closet and drawer space was useful. One small refrigerator helps keep your drinks and a tiny amount of food cold. Staff were super polite and friendly. The decor throughout the light-filled hotel was an interesting mix of hipster art and industrial mixed with nature tones. The live moss-covered wall behind the reception area is the coolest! Last but not least, the food served here was excellent, and I'll report on the individual venues here (where else?) on Yelp.
