I love this place! My mom lives just down the road so when I'm visiting we walk here. This is our go-to spot when we need to pick up a dessert to bring to someones house. They have amazing pies, strudels, tarts, etc.
I love the strawberry picking and flowers in the summer, but the best time to go here has to be the fall. They have a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds (and pumpkin treats - of course) and the farm is so festive, it actually makes you forget that there's a long, brutal winter ahead of us. Great way to enjoy the fall.
As for children, there's lots to do here. Various slides, parks, a hay ride, a jumping castle (actually, a barn), petting zoo, maze. There is even a robotic show with singing/dancing chickens that plays on every half hour. Last time I brought my cousin here, he burned off so much energy that I had to carry him home because he was falling asleep while walking! If ever have kids, I'd love to bring them here.
