Wow, what a great hike!
Its about a 45 minute drive from downtown PHX but it is well worth the trail. The hike is about 4 miles roundtrip, with some moderate hills but nothing too crazy. The view of the mountains at the top of the trail by Tom's Thumb is great during sunset.
There is a big parking lot with clean bathrooms. Be aware that if it gets dark, there is no lighting to help you get around, so you should bring your own flash light.
The majority of the hills come in the 1st half of the trail, afterwards when you are at the top you go through a series of switch backs to get to Tom's Thumb.
Overall a 5/5 star trail!
