OK, I have to admit I'm having a hard time writing this review. JP Pancake has been one of my family's favorites for years. They have always been light on the service side but the amazing food made up for it and I always made sure to pack activities for the kids (they don't provide anything like other family restaurants do). Unfortunately, the last several times we have dined here, the service has been absolutely atrocious! In all fairness, the individuals working the front really are trying their best but it seems as though the owner has decided to cut costs by only providing one person to run the entire front area. (Keep in mind, we eat breakfast out on Sunday mornings so we are talking the busiest weekend timeframe.) It is literally impossible to run a restaurant with one person doing all the seating, bussing, orders, etc. Granted it is a small restaurant but not that small. Having said that, the food really is AMAZING! My personal favorite is the blueberry pancakes with any of their omelettes coming in second. Definitely worth a try - just make sure to come with lots of patience. Your tummy will be rewarded.
