In the annex/Seaton Village, north of Bloor there is a severe lack of brunch spots. This is essentially the only option if you want a trendy spot. It's good because you can usually get in without a line unlike on Bloor, BUT, the service, food and place are all average. There is a nice balcony that's small to medium sized, although in the summer there is not a great awning for protection.
