Out of all of the kid-friendly museums we have been to in Phoenix and the surrounding areas, this is our absolute favorite. The first time we came I was floored by how big it was - there is so much to see, you can certainly spend a few hours here or spread it out over a couple of visits. We purchased a membership, and I would recommend that, as it is quite inexpensive compared to most other museums/zoos, etc. With the membership we pop in to catch the last hour in the dinosaur play room, or "pan for gold" and "dig for dinosaur bones" outdoors (when it's not too hot); we always take a quick stroll of the old jailhouse (creepy, and haunted my kid assures me), and catch the waterfall that turns on at intervals throughout the day (in a giant animatronic dinosaur scene). And there is much more to see. This place is a treasure.
