Although this restaurant is tucked away inside Crystals it is SO worth the trip. The Old Fashions are habit forming as well are the Cosmos. From the minute we entered we had the BEST service staff...friendly, courteous and very attentive. So...the food? We tried several apps off the menu which were better than as described on the menu...came out very timely and served with class. My party also tried one of their pizzas...with a little extra KICK of heat...WOW it was oven hot..spiced just right..crust was cooked to GBD!.
My party split entree orders to some off the menu and some ordered the Chef's Specials. My meal was a special and put together beautifully...the ingredients were delicious together...lamb sausage, fennel and broccoli rabe all served over pasta. The portion was not skimpy yet not overboard. When I looked around the table there was hardly any food remaining on the plates that appeared to not need washing! The steak was perfect as well as the fettuccine dish. BRAVO to the Chef!
Regarding the dessert....their house-made Gelato sampler was to die for......But... Their zeppoles were the BOMB. Now, Im originally from NJ where zeppoles are a staple at just about every pop up carnival, church function and San Gennaro festival..not to mention the shore areas. These were the best I had in all my xx years. They were hot, not dense and sugared to perfection. I recommend the Raspberry dipping sauce which was out of this world...if only they jarred it for sale!
I would certainly visit this restaurant often...moderately priced, upscale atmosphere and great food and service. Cant ask for anything more!
