Love the refurbed warehouse open concept, but it is not well executed. Bad lighting, loud reverb, awkward seating, cigarette smoke wafting in... what a shame! Same offerings as the Edmonton location and you can add to your beer 'passport' here as well (if it works, that is). The Calgary venue is larger (Edmonton's upstairs patio notwithstanding) but much less cozy and friendly. The two of us were seated upstairs at an awkward split table meant as a 6-top, where the lighting was terrible. Service was OK, but how frustrating is it for the servers and guests to have to yell to be heard and to repeat themselves? The cig smoke was annoying in a 'seriously what decade are we in' kinda way. Music was so loud at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday that we elected to stick to drinks and eat elsewhere. Then the NHL playoffs on TV were changed over to Entertainment Tonight, WTF? We were happy to get out. Such a miss!! The Edmonton location does it better IMO. Great beer, great food, but crap ambience, we won't be back.
