BOTTOM LINE: If you don't know or care about the difference between a latte and a cappuccino, or want coffee or tea, I'm sure that Peet's would be just fine.
This Peet's replaced the Caribou Coffee on the ground level floor of Tower City. It's been open for a week or so at this point. This is my question: How do you work in a coffee shop if you don't know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino? This is a national chain, and I'd think that they'd have some sort of training system in place for their employees or at the minimum have one employee directing and quality controlling the product. Really, it's not that difficult.
So, if you care (which I obviously do since I asked for a cappuccino with extra foam and got a latte and am still angry enough about it to write this long of a review about coffee), don't go there, because they don't know the difference between the two, and when I protested insisted that the latte I received was the dry cappuccino I had ordered. They did offer to remake the drink, but at that point there were 20 customers behind me in the morning rush and I didn't want to wait. Nor did I want to spend the time to teach them the differences in specialty coffee drinks.
