A shame. I really liked this place. It's quiet. It's not filled with douchey hipsters and yoga pants moms. The last couple of times I've been here though, the service has been cavalier and simple-minded.
Look, I'm not a patient man; I know this. Partly, it's from getting used to a level of efficiency I became accustomed to when I lived places other than the South. Partly, it's because I'm just kind of a jerk. Nevertheless...
If the cashier is chit-chatting about this and that with some dullard whose taking five minutes to buy a loaf of bread, don't wait those five minutes to ask what the next person in line (me) wants. And then after that, don't ring up the person after the next person in line (some guy behind me) before the next person in line (me).WTF? It's all about me; using me as a simple explanatory reference point. I just walked out at that point. I don't want to stand there and make a scene or hand my money over to places that are lackadaisical.
The time before this, Nova's had only one new employee doing everything on a Sunday morning. To his credit, he worked his ass off; poor guy. He had to the line was always there.
There was a girl who used to work here who was pleasant and did her job well. Guess she must have quit. Another shame. Tighten up.
