3 stars for the roof top patio, I also like the name. If I do have a chance to hit downtown for some drinks and dancing I usually do make a stop at VD. After a certain point in the night its more like following the crowd where all clubs seem to run together. So I really don't care where I am, just as long as I am having fun and there are people to watch...lol. You get this at Velvet Dog but don't commit if your intention is to follow the crowd, its hit or miss. Last time I was there , 2 weeks ago, the bartender was very attentive and cute. My friend and I both had fun but probably only stayed for 30 minutes or so. Go in and check it out if its free cover, otherwise you might be better off walking the strip first to preview your other options.
