We only used Rite-A-Way because First American Home Warranty sent them. We saw all the bad reviews and rating and hoped we wouldn't have the same issues but we did. This company is horrible to get ahold of, rarely answers their phone, manager is never available to speak to and they take days to call back. They came out to replace a broken garbage disposal. We were told parts needed to be ordered and that it would only take a few business days to get them in. Almost two weeks later and numerous unreturned phone calls to the company we got the disposal replaced. A couple weeks later we had some contract work done in the kitchen and ultimately the cord to the disposal came loose and the disposal stopped working. After speaking with our home warranty company they sent rite-a-way back out to see what was wrong with the disposal (we were within the 30 day warranty period but did not know the cord was loose at this time). I called Rite-A-Way monday morning to schedule an appointment. Just like the last time, no one answered the phone and I did not get a call back until Wednesday when they left me a message confirming my appointment for Thursday afternoon. I never spoke to anyone, they just made this appointment up themselves. During out appointment the technician realized it was an unplugged cord and became very rude, sarcastic and told us we owed him $60. I explained to him our home warranty said no matter what the reason was (even if it was a silly mistake on our part) we would not owe and more money because we were within the 30 day warrant period. He laughed and said "oh well, ill leave you alone.. I get paid anyways." 5 minutes later he came back to our door with the home warranty company on the phone asking for money again. Do not do business with this company unless you want a very frustrating experience.
