Worst car rental experience ever. The man at the counter was unfriendly and used as few words possible. When we were done at the counter, he said "level 3" and moved on the to the next person. We rented a full size vehicle. We got to the garage and they initially said they didn't have any. Then they found one. It was a BEAT UP Impala with about 50K miles on it. It had scratches all over and damage on the bumper. I went back and asked for a different car. The offered me a Prius. Even though it would a class lower, I accepted. This one had 47K miles on it and was in no better shape. There was significant bumper damage on this one (bumper was misaligned on the side) I had that noted when I left. I talked to someone in the industry after the trip and they told me that Thrifty gets all of Hertz's old cars. Key words - OLD CARS. Never thought about looking at YELP beforehand. I never would have booked them after seeing such poor reviews. Pay extra and pick a better company. I will be arriving in PHX this Thursday and have selected a different company for my rental car needs. Never again, Thrifty.
