I wish I could give this place 4 stars because the food really is delicious, but its just a few things that make my meal less enjoyable. First, it's a great place to grab lunch for Ryerson students! The special used to be $5 for a beef or chicken shawarma pita and a can of pop, but I think they have increased the price to $6 or $7 recently. The shawarma is quite good, but I can't help but compare the quality to Sababa in Thornhill where I live (that shawarma is a perfect 5/5). Their options for pop are by an interesting middle eastern brand - I usually grab the orange or pink can. One female employee in particular (I'm not sure if she still works there) is very friendly! She goes out of her way to learn your name and ask you questions about your day/what you study/etc. I gave this place 3 stars because of the overall cleanliness of the store. I wish they boarded up the large glass panel at the front of the store with actual glass, instead of leaving it empty during the summer. Flies come in and hover all over your food and table. One landed on my pita and I lost my appetite right away. The store is located next to Zanzibar (the downtown strip club) and attracts a lot of weirdos and loud drunk people to hover around the front of the store.
