Bought a cooktop from Mesa TV & Appliance. These guys were hired to do the install. Trip 1 - They show up on time, good, but without a saw to make any adjustments to the cooktop. The excuse, Ray the technician gave me? "I was told the hole was already cut out." Hhhmmm, guess adjustments are never necessary. He also wanted to cut a 2-2.5" hole on either side of my CABINET, not countertop, to make the cooktop fit. I did NOT understand this. Thankfully my husband came home that night and fixed it without cutting into my cabinets. Ray left from the 1st appointment without installing the new cooktop or placing the old cooktop, that still worked, back in the counter so he left me without a cooktop. Install trip 2 - Ray told me that he was going to have to "work me in" to his schedule but should be there before 3. He shows up after 5, was very rushed. He got the cooktop installed, checked one burner and was off and running again. I tried to use the induction burner and received a PF error. I called into Dino's & they sent Ray back out. Trip #3, new board is needed, you guessed it have to order parts, Ray says that he will call me in the morning with the time frame for the order. We don't hear anything all day so we called him, he wouldn't answer his phone so we talked with Dino (who has always been super nice) - Dino apologized and said the part was due in Wednesday & they were going to schedule me for Thursday. Dino apologized for Ray not keeping in contact with us like he should have. So, Thursday rolls around - we are on trip 4 - I've now been without a cooktop for over a week. Ray is in process of getting the new board installed and a 2nd technician shows up. They're chatting amongst themselves and they test a cooktop burner. I checked ALL the cooktop burners. Now the burners work but there's an electrical burning smell. Ray says it's normal and it should go away, the other technician says that he's never come across a cooktop doing that and said I should call the manufacturer. After a call to the manufacturer they send out yet another repair tech from another company who says that yes, there is an electrical burning smell, it's a fire hazard and recommends replacement. I'm giving 2 stars because Dino has always been very friendly when we speak with him HOWEVER, there is A LOT to be desired with at least one of his technicians. Poor communication, poor knowledge, poor punctuality, no follow through. I would not have Ray with Dino's out to work on any of my appliances again.
