Loyalty is a one-way, unpaved street at Oasis Car Wash. I've gone to this joint for 10 years or so always hoping for the "free car wash" at the end of one of the "loyalty" promos where they mark your "loyalty" card with their specific stamp. Yesterday, I had finally made it! I had made the required 9 paid visits, presented my card and was told that because the previous cashier had just initialed and dated the card, there was no freebie for me! The excuse was that the former employee should not have used her initials and used the stamp instead. So who would suffer: me. When I explained my outrage to the "manager" Melinda, her response was nothing. She didn't say a single word to me. The current cashier had presented me with a new "loyalty" card which only requires 7 or 8 paid washes (I can't remember which). I tore it up and left Oasis Car Wash for the last time.
