Don't you love it when you accidentally stumble upon a gem? That's exactly what happened to me when I was lucky enough to find Avalon Exchange. Now, this place buys used clothing and such, but it's much better than your average resale shop. You bring in all the designer, label and nifty clothing, shoes and accessories that you don't want anymore--and hello, cash-money in your pocket! They also give you store credit. These folks hand-pick all the items they sell. You'll find designer purses, leather boots, and even some vintage items. I'd prefer to see more vintage pieces, but I know most of that stuff ends up at consignment shops. I didn't leave with anything this time around, but you'd better believe that I'm cleaning out my closet soon and bringing it in to Avalon. As I was walking around, I was even picturing items I had at home that I could bring in. I probably had dollar bill signs in my eyes... Definitely check this place out if you're in the neighborhood (and you have enough change to feed those pesky Coventry Rd meters). It's worth taking some time to browse through the merch, especially with high-end label tops for $3 each. I mean, hell, you'll spend more on a parking ticket from the Cleveland Heights police.
