I've been looking for a hairdresser since I moved to Madison last summer. I asked around, but no one I knew had found a good one, either. Well, thankfully, one of my friends got me a gift certificate for Chrysalis. I went in for a haircut, and got the best one I've ever had! By asking me detailed questions about my hair, previous cuts and what I liked and didn't like about them, and what my styling routine was, Julia was able to understand my hair's tendencies and gave me a haircut that worked with my scheduled, personalizing the cut to accommodate the quirks in my hair (I have a few cowlicks and one side curls more than the other). The whole salon is gorgeous, and it felt like spending an hour with a friend. I came out of the appointment feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated, thanks to the scalp and neck massage Julia gives before a haircut. Moreover, Julia uses these amazing all-natural hair products, thus eliminating the terrible chemical smell of every other salon in town. I'm thrilled with the new cut, and am actually looking forward to scheduling a trim!
