I still don't understand why when it comes to dry cleaners in Phoenix, it truly is the wild west. I got a nice mailer from Ultra that said "50% off No limit. Expires 2/29/16". So I go in and ask the guy if I need the coupon. He then explains "No. Everybody get 50% off all the time. No need for coupon.". And I see that there is a big banner advertising this and immediately figure out that there is no such thing as 50% off here. Its the scambo to get you in the door. And its illegal and its false advertising. And it pisses me off. So I tell him that I want to know the pricing then as he is ringing them up. He agrees and quotes me $7.00 to clean my western shirt. Its a shirt. Its got some embroidery on it. I paid $18 for it at Well Suited and with his "50% off" its going to cost me $7 to dry clean it. How could I go along with this BS tactic to get me in the door and then gang rape me? Of course I couldn't. I left and hope to share the story. If I walked in and asked how much the shirt cost and he quoted me whatever...OK... But they lure you in from other areas of town with 50% off a price that doesn't exist. If this goof can find a place in town that would've charged me $14 to clean my shirt then I'd be the fool. But come on...its a shirt. False advertising plain and simple. By placing an expiration date on the coupon its even more obviously false advertising unless this shirt does cost $14 on March 1st which obviously it won't or these idiots would be out of business shortly thereafter. I hope these guys get sanctioned. Everybody else is forced to follow advertising rules and it shouldn't take a drive over to their store to figure out that they are full of beans.
