Foufounes Électriques opened its doors in the early 80's and has become part of the Montreal Culture. With it's exotic decorations, it is a mandatory place if you are looking for an alternative place in Montreal.
The bar is huge, with various spaces, including pool tables, the outside patios during the warmer months, and the upper floors were they usually have live music. It has been the stage for some very renown Rock / Punk and Metal concerts.
The beer is cheap and there is a good variety. The crowd also varies so you are sure to see all sorts of people getting drunk and listening to good music.
