1 star for the replica fields, one nice manager (Chris L.), and that's about it. Sure, it was fun playing the first few seasons...a few years ago. Then you start to see favoritism, bad calls and really bad management. There's a $3 cash entrance fee for every time you enter the park, there is a league fee, a player fee, a fee to use the batting cages, BLD issued softballs for a fee and you cannot bring your own drinks (sometimes they'll even check your bag). Depending on your league, your games can be split (not back to back games...even when there's open fields they could have used). Tonight, I watched a friends team play a game, make it to the championship game, then one of the managers Chris D. (the 'sports director'), yelled at them and accused them of cheating after their first win. He then figured that the players were actually on the roster and came back and APOLOGIZED to them for making a mistake. He encouraged them to play their next game. Then he came back, cancelled their second game in the most unprofessional manner, and yelled at them more because he wanted to go with the first decision he made. The team was really trying to figure out what was going on but he kept yelling! There was miscommunication between his staff but instead of taking it up with his team, he took it out on the team on the field. He cancelled the last game because he said so (it was their last game of the season). I hope upper management does something about his uncontrollable behavior and poor leadership abilities. I will never go to back BLD Las Vegas and I will never support a business with such a terrible person they call a 'Sports Director'.
