A friend who also travels often to Las Vegas asked me to do one thing on this visit...and that was visit Buddy V's and just sit at the bar for minimum one drink. Everything she said about the bar was accurate: Comfortable, great view of The Strip and really friendly employees. Honestly, it was not easy to find this place and I know my way around The Venetian as a longtime fan of Grand Lux Cafe and that casino floor where I once played blackjack with 90210 hottie Lindsay Price. My bartender at Buddy V's was a tremendously nice guy named Mike and he poured me a strong vodka cocktail. The entire place just smelled too good to not at least look at the menu while sipping so Mike steered me right in a modest order of Grandma's Meatballs with some delicious bread that was exactly the right amount of food. This simply was not your typical Vegas bar or restaurant experience...and that's why I will be back on my next visit. Oh, and the place has some nice windows that overlook The Strip and a few tables are right against these windows if you want to just eat, drink and take it all in. Buddy V's wasn't too loud, wasn't too snobby, wasn't too busy and wasn't too expensive either. Maybe the fact that it is not easy to find is a good thing for those of us who already know about it.
