To be honest, I was not impressed with this place and there's a good chance I won't be returning. We didn't eat, only had drinks, so this review is only based on that. Honestly, I didn't like how divey it felt. It wasn't a hip kind of divey, it was a dirty kind of divey. It was cramped and dingy, and they had the garage doors open which usually is cool, but the bugs and the humidity was kind of overbearing. Our bartender/server was really nice, but that's about as far as it goes. The service was slow. I was with a party of 5, and we all sat there with empty glasses multiple times, for fairly long periods of time. My husband had to send his drink back 4... yes, FOUR.. times because there were bugs in it. After that we all decided it was probably safe to call it a night. It looks like they are maybe building a rooftop bar? I may give New Amsterdam a second chance once that opens.. then again, I may not. To be continued.
