I've been going to the Jonathan Torch Curly Hair Institute for about 3 years now - and have always been impressed by the service, staff and end product. Having very long, naturally curly hair - this is truly an oasis for those of us who endured bad hair cut, after bad hair cut growing up.
The biggest highlight of this salon is the product. It is absolutely magical, and cannot image ever reverting back to regular ol'gel or mousse. Trust me, getting to learn how to use the product and style your hair is well worth the initial trek to North York.
With that being said, the location is terrible. Getting there is accessible with a bit of a walk, to and from Sheppard Station - it is just inconvenient. This is only reason I can't give it a full 5 stars.
