ASU gammage was horrible, even though the show (Wicked) was amazing. Their bathroom situation is an obvious hostage for money situation--they are trying to raise $9 million for new bathrooms and elevators. In the meantine, what is their freaking problem with a short-term solution? They want people to donate b/c they had to wait in such a long line. The theatre has not been added onto. The theatre was designed and builted with an incredibly insufficient (inhumane?) bathroom situation. Solutions that could be done in a week or less? 1. They have already rasied $4.5 million of $9 million for 70 bathrooms and 2 elevators. Use some of that money to build like 5 more f*&*^^%$# bathrooms in the meantime. 2. Rent porta-poties 4. If you know the bathroom line takes 30 min, make your intermission 30 min. 5. Don't be FU**&^%% greedy; if you have bathrooms for 1000 attendees not 3000, then rent the venue/sell tickets for 1000, not 3000. YOU should pay the price for the miserable planning and lack of soluitons in this venue, not your paying customers. 6. Teach your employees some compassion. If they know how ridiculous the situation is, they could be trained to apologize on behalf of the management, offer water on the house to those who have to wait outside for 10 min and miss the show instead of acting judgemental (your fault, guess you should have bulldozed people over to get out, pushed them out of the way or peed yourself in their seats.) I will NEVER return to this venue--even if they fix the bathroom situation, at this point, it is clear that the people who make the decisions at this venue are focused exclusively on exploiting art for profit not an enjoyable performance experience or any level of customer service.
