Noticed that this place only has one review here that isn't very representative of them. I come here pretty often (5 to 7 times a year) and have a positive experience almost every time. When you bring your pet into Banfield, you'll walk through the Petsmart towards the back of the store. You will meet their incredibly sweet receptionist named Jennifer. Jennifer will show you pictures of her grandchildren (you would never guess she is a grandma otherwise) and then she'll have you wait in a room for the nurse and doctor. She loves my Boston Terrier puppy Ferdinand. Make sure you call ahead and get your appointment with Dr. Pearce (maybe Pierce). The other doctors are younger and not nearly as experienced. Dr. Pearce isn't old, persay, but he isn't super young, either. He's right there in the middle where he won't talk to you like he knows way more than you nor will he sound unsure of himself. Here is why I say that: once I came in with Ferdinand 'cause he had some hairless spots on his fur. This other young doctor comes in and names 50 different things that could be wrong, and like 20 different tests that we could do to determine what's going on. I'm not a doctor and I don't know which tests we should start with. We basically just thanked the doctor and walked out to reschedule with Dr. Pearce. A few days later, Dr. Pearce sees Ferdinand and very confidently says that the spots don't seem very serious at this point, and that we should begin with a low dose antibiotic and a very light dose of steroid, along with a diet adjustment. THAT is the kind of answer I need. He knew where to START. I sure as hell don't, I'm in the IT business. Surely enough, Ferdinand was fine again and my faith in Dr. Pearce grew even stronger. All in all, come to Banfield for Jennifer and Dr. Pearce (also book your appointment early in the day because they sometimes start to run behind towards closing time).
