Since a 5 star rating reflects on the quality of the food, I generally start there. The service is so good at Moko that I lead off with props to the owner, Ryan, who greeted me by my name, engaged with us several times throughout our evening, and provided excellent service. He really understands that the front of the house is as important as the meal. He's one of those owners you want to see succeed in a tough business - he's just a really nice guy.! Moko is cute as hell. Simple, clean - love the artwork. I'll definitely go back for dinner with friends or even to sit at the little bar alone and soak in the ambience. My Dinner Downtown group enjoyed the 7 Course Tasting Menu. This group is more discriminating than your average group of diners - we seek out the best food and overall experience. 2 chefs and a restaurant owner were in our group; all 10 of us were pleased. Several dishes really stood out for all of us. The shortrib was incredibly good, and the potato under it was one of my favorites. The pork belly was sinful - a fairly large serving that came alive when dipped in just a smidge of the raspberry salt. The creme brulee was one of the best I've ever tasted, and this is my favorite dessert; the caramel was like glass. Personally, I enjoyed the cold eggplant salad which melted in my mouth. I read someone's comment that this would be packed every night if it were in a better location. This is true. But it's worth the 25-minute drive from my Henderson office, and I'm looking forward to my next visit. Everyone raves about the shrimp, so that's next up for me.
