Wow. What a buzzkill. Walked into the lobby, excited to check in after a 10 hour drive from Chicago. Nice lobby, lots of BlueJay fans milling about. We check in around 5pm to our non-stadium side room and start to unpack. When I went to put something on the night stand I noticed a thin layer of dust. Eew. So I thought, hey, maybe it's from the air conditioning vents. Upon further inspection EVERYTHING had a thick layer of dust on it.. The headboard, the other table, the tv.. Disgusting. So.. If they're not dusting, are they changing sheets?? I pulled back the sheets and there was orange like makeup on the sheets. I flipped!
At 515- I went down to the desk and waited in a line about 5 people deep. Two different couples checking in we're told their rooms weren't ready yet. It's 5pm and guest rooms aren't ready?! Wow. Maybe that explains why someone's cutting corners in other rooms.
Anywho- I get up to the lady, Jennifer, who was nice and cordial and I told her about our FILTHY room. She immediately moved us..two doors down. No courtesy drinks, no compensation.. Just a "I'll pass the feedback on to the housekeeping manager".
Then, without me asking, she told me the manager would be in touch with me later that night. I received NO CALL from the female manager. (Had she not offered that, I would feel so let down).
I walked back to the room, moved my family to the new room which had no dust problems. The only complaint in that room was a limey shower head.
Overall- I just felt like this hotel could careless about the guest. Its public areas were nice but overall it was like shuffle them in, shuffle them out..
