Too bad there isn't a review star that's less than 0, as that's what I'd give ADT. I succumbed to their high pressure sales thinking the concept was good to have a security system but shortly after it was installed, the fob triggered a panic alarm as a result of the fob being in a back pocket and then sitting down on it. So we were charged for $100 police visit to check out the panic alarm. Then turns out ADT failed to inform me I needed an alarm permit so got charged another fee for that. So now stuck with a 3 year contract. I returned the 2 fobs but they only credited 1 of them. Then constantly got other offers in the mail for the same service at a significantly lower rate, but they wouldn't honor those either. So finally waited out he 3 years and called to cancel and they wouldn't cancel prior to the 30 day notice date, but did say they would give me a credit for 1 month. When I called at the 30 day notice date, they refused to honor the credit and said that was only if I kept the service as a retention benefit!! So almost $4500 later I have never used the system other than the accidental panic alarm. Don't use ADT!! There's are tons of better systems out there at better prices swell and definitely better service. If they come to your door, don't open it!!
