I'd actually rate them 2.5/5. Located in the Asian food hotspot Midland/Finch, QQ Thai Ice Cream is one of the first places you see turning into the plaza. It's fairly small with limited seating and from my experience you can either be the only customer at all or wait 5 minutes or more in a line to the door. Menu options are quite good, with cute names for different flavors. Occasionally feature special flavors, like cheesecake. It's entertainment and food because you watch them get to work on the cold slabs, pouring then spreading the cream, mashing it up, and repeat. You get 4 toppings of choice. My call out is that the ingredients, including the cream they keep in pitchers, are so mediocre quality. Obviously all grocery store bought. Not even surprised but I can't praise a business that gets by on the minimum, and doesn't exceed competition by offering the best or at least "better". Not exceptional dessert but as long as I'm craving ice cream at all or to bring a friend whose never had Thai style ice cream before, I might be back. Good but not great.
