The Ivey is a beautiful hotel that we were really looking forward to enjoying during our time in Charlotte. We did our research, read many reviews and were sure it would be a great experience. Why only one star?? Our queen suite WAS NOT CLEAN !! From someone's false eyelash on the floor to a clump of long brown hair on the duvet cover... The list is too long and when they had no other suite to offer us, we made the decision to leave and drive the 4+ hours back home. What a disappointment. Lucky us that we end up with the suite that housekeeping overlooked. A hotel of this caliber needs to revamp to assure guests will not encounter a dirty room...no excuse for this. Sorry Ivey, you missed the boat on this one !!
