DRIVE THRU OFFICE, NO PERSONAL CARE AT ALL! U R JUST A # THERE..not knowing any doctors in AZ i decided to take a chance on this doctors office because i had seen billboards and ads for momdoc and thought it seemed very put together. i found out i was pregnant rather early on a complete whim and was able to make a apt to see a doctor rather quickly. i liked that you could call and get a same day or next day appt. my first visit to the doctors office was nice. i found it clean and nicely decorated. there is no front office desk as the assistants sit in chairs along a wall next to patients. I thought that was weird but thought maybe thats how they do it since they come to you when you walk in the door. my visit was ok and i saw a nurse practitioner. it was more of a pregnancy confirmation visit as i was in denial lol. within the next week i received a bill stating the cost for the maternity package they enrolled me in and what my portion would be. i thought it was weird that i would have to pay any additional fee just to have them fill out my fmla paperwork as they do not d it in a scheduled visit. but that didnt stop me from going because i was so into the decorations of the place and thought that , that would equal good care. i was wrong! my next several visits went very fast i was always in and out within 20 min. early on in my pregnancy i thought that was ok because what can we really talk about or see or do at 5,7,12 weeks. so the fastness didnt bother me. at about 18weeks i was told that i have placenta previa and a nurse practitioner said i would be on pelvic rest and i should have no intercourse for 4 weeks until my next appt. i asked was oral ok and she said yes just no penetration.. we scheduled a appt for 4 weeks ( now... i have had numerous appts and have yet to see the same person twice besides one gril.. every time i went i had to reintroduce myself and explain thta i am a flight attendant and try to get a answer as to when i would stop flying.. one girl in the beginning said 24 weeks then another said 26 weeks then another said we can push it to 28 weeks and stated what the condition's would be so i went with that.) now we are at the appt that was scheduled 4 weeks would due to the pelvic rest i get there and the nurse comes in (same nurse fromlast time, which was a shock since i had yet to see the same person twice)and she obviously has no idea who i am. she basically comes in and says do you have any questions for me after she measured my stomach im like yeah... remember you put me on pelvic rest and set this appt to see if i could be taken off.. and i wanted to know if we should start the paperwork for fmla.. she looks at me like i have one eye on my nose and states " i cant tell you if your off pelvic rest we need a ultrasound for that" i said i thought thats what we were dong today she states no, not till you 28 weeks.. so im like thats another 6 weeks and she says i guess. by this time im just like it is what it is so ok. but what about the papperwork.. she says dont worry you can fly till your 36 weeks i go .. ummmm, idk about that im a flight attendant.. she says yeah doesnt matter.. you can work up to 39 weeks if u want. i said but i was told earlier by another lady that i couldnt due to radiation and what not besides we dont even let passengers fly that long also im having a csection in my 39th weeks so how is that gonna work. im so confused because you guys have gone from 24 weeks to 28 to 36 to 39 weeks and i have no confidence in what your saying. she tried to explain her self away after she realized i knew sher was full of shit. now i get home and tell my hubby and he was worried that there was so many different answers to such a easy question that a medical professional should know. so i decide to google pelvic rest to see how serious it was and get more info and found out a whole slew of things i shouldnt be doing including orgasms of any kind.. now im worried becasue i have been a horny dog with my hubby and had been going hard core on oral pleasures lol so i call th doctors office and speak to yet another nurse and she explains oh no ur google search is right you can not orgasm among other stuff. im like why didnt she explain this to me she stated she didnt know. now we are up to today... i go to my appt im now 6 months and 2 weeks prego i now have my fmla paperwork which is what this appt was specifically for that they charged me additionally for since this was that type of appt i thought i would air all my issues nicely as i am a firm believer that you get more bees with honey than u do with vinegar. so i am explain to her that i am very worried as i am over 6 mths and idk who is cutting me open.. i know theres alot of patients but at least read my chart before u see me. she could care less about my concerns. i switched doctors today.t his place is drive threw doctors office no personal care at all! dont make the same mistake i did by looking at the pretty office!!
