Even though this is one hotel everyone associates Vegas with, it's not even close to being the best hotel in Vegas. The cigarette smoke is so heavy it gags you! Other hotels seem to have a better way of keeping the air cleaner...maybe it's the lack of ventilation but after three days of puffy red eyes I couldn't take it anymore. Don't know what has happened to the price of food and drinks here either, they are through the roof! No in room coffee service, the keurig pot was nice but the price for 4 stale pods from the mini bar was 13.00!! Food prices Higher than the airports. The Julius tower was remodeled not that long ago but it's already rundown. Towels and linens were pretty flimsy. The tower to stay in is the Palace...it just got updated this year. Nice job! The staff are average to good...kind and polite if they talk to you. Check in took forever, people seemed confused on how to use the self check in. Front desk people are super nice. The bars and casino tables are old and run down. The pools are ok, chairs are really worn out and virtually no way to escape the sun, no umbrellas or shade unless you rent the ultra expensive cabana. Bellmen and valet are super nice and very helpful. Appreciated that but I won't ever stay here again.
