This is delightful ride for all ages, slowly bringing you to the pinnacle of 550 feet (making it 107 feet taller than the London Eye) while taking in 360-degree views of Las Vegas. Easily the most enjoyable ride on the strip, we chose to ride it at night ($37) rather than in the day ($25) so we could see the strip all lit up.
The pods are large and spacious, with two small benches that accommodate about 4 people each if you choose to sit. You will most likely stand mesmerized at the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, watching the ground slowly fall away and more and more come into view. There were ten people in our pod, our group plus another, and the website says they hold up to 40 people. They book private parties with a bar in advance and they even do full weddings in a pod! For $52 per person at night you can get a Happy Hour ride with a full open bar. As the entire ride is about 35 minutes, that seemed a little silly to us. You can buy drinks of any kind at the wheelhouse bar and carry your beverages onto the ride with you; I guess if you'd drink enough in 30 minutes to justify the extra $15 per person, then woot!! Note there are no restrooms IN the pods... They *are air-conditioned and quite comfortable.
After your ride you exit (the wheel never stops moving, but it is slow enough to easily enter and exit along the platform unless you went crazy at your open bar ^^) you will go through a packed souvenir shop with fun High Roller merchandise. I collect magnets and found a darling metal, sparkly, mini High Roller - much to my delight after I bought it, I realized the tiny wheel spins! Bonus! :D
I would definitely budget for this ride on my next trip, it was fun and highly memorable.
