So I don't know where this review actually belongs / Sushi Akor or Embassy Suites or the Valet company.
Since Sushi Akor is located on the first floor of the hotel and hotel mgmt contracts the valet company, I'll still blame the hotel.
Alrighty then - let's lay down some facts / FACTS.
Went to a bday dinner at Sushi Akor Saturday night.
Complimentary valet up to 2 hours $18 after that
8pm-ish arrival, 15 minute wait for valet drop off.
One person working valet for the entire hotel and Brand NEW restaurant on a SATURDAY night
One very dedicated employee who stayed after her shift to help knowing how much of a shit show it was. Her husband was even waiting the entire time to pick her up. She deserves a raise
Dinner is done and we are waiting for our car.
The car was parked in a different garage and they did not have the transponder to get the car out.
We were waiting over an HOUR and a HALF for valet to retrieve our car. I repeat - 1.5 hours.
Valet manager offered to comp our parking next time. Mind you - the restaurant offers 2 free hours of complimentary valet.
Neither establishment will get our business again.
Valet dude had the audacity to argue with my wife about "nothing I can do ma'am. He's in the same boat we are?"
Uh Not exactly - you're working, we're just trying to get our car and go home.
Totally unacceptable. I haven't even gotten into the wasted time, inconvenience to us and our babysitter.
