I wish I could take this place, pick it up with all the people and everything, and bring it with me to Los Angeles.
I visited the Brillo Box late Saturday night with family; my cousin described it as (the place across the street where all the cool kids go). The decorations are awesome (mixture of 60's era fixtures, plastic christmas decorations, stars), the people are neat (throngs of masked/courpse-painted hipsters as there was a masquerade upstairs), AND their jukebox is well-stocked (Wire, CSS, ELO, etc.). Everyone was very courteous as I moved from one corner of the place to the other, no pretentiousness, no hostility.
Why can't every place be this awesome? Good drinks, good people, good time!
