I was released from St. Rose Dominican Hospital on 10/30/17 and was referred to Dr. Kordick as I did not have a Primary Care Physician. My appointment was 2 days later on 11/1/17. When I showed up for my appointment I was told they left a message needing to reschedule earlier that day. Not very happy, but I rescheduled for 11/6/17. The appointment went well, but I was told that I would not be released back to work until there was oxygen delivered and set up in my home. I was told that Preferred Home Care would be in contact with me to set up the delivery. Not hearing anything from anyone, I called her assistant 2 days later, and she told me that I was suppose to call Preferred Home Care to schedule the appointment for delivery, so another 2 days wasted. I called them and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I called her assistant back and voiced frustration, as my employer was asking when I was coming back to work? It is now Tuesday 11/14/17 and all I am getting is the run around. I faxed over the paperwork I needed completed last Thursday and it is lost, so I faxed it again today, and am being told that it can take up to 3 days from when they receive it. On top of this all, I am being told Dr. Kordick was off Friday, and her assistant was off Monday & Tuesday, and I can't return to work while everyone else is taking vacation?????? This is a terrible way to start a relationship with a new doctor.
