I was invited last minute to a BBQ dinner and didn't want to come empty handed. Fortunately, I live close by to the cup cakery and made a pit stop here. It was late in the day, so there was not much left. But, there was enough to make a dozen of solid flavor choices for me.
Value wise, this is a bad deal. I mean I can buy a whole cake for much cheaper than a dozen cupcakes. But I get it, and clearly they don't have problems selling them so kudos.
I only had one cup cake of the dozen, and honest to God it was really good. It was a mocha flavored cupcake that was moist and delicious. Compared to famous cupcake stores I have visited in DC and waited in lines for, this was much better. Other party goers seemed to enjoy it as much as I did, so it was a good pick.
If these were better priced, I would probably be diabetic - so perhaps it is best used as a once in a while delicacy to spoil your loved ones.
