Bright, well organized, and set up in a way that is just under the claustrophobic threshold (a lot of merchandise jammed into every space but I can still move without knocking into a rack). A couple years this JCP was on a hot streak for me and I was constantly finding inexpensive things I loved and stopping in probably monthly. Trends have changed and I no longer live near the mall so I'm not in as often, but when I do stop it's a pleasant enough experience. The layout has been slightly rearranged recently, shrinking their dress section quite a bit. I used to be able to find some great items but the selection has been at least halved. I also had an issue recently with none of their purses having price tags. There were sale signs up showing the discounts, but I had no idea what was what. I had to take an armful of bags up to the cashier and have them scan them. Not ideal, but this location is still preferable to me over the east side - it just seems to be brighter and in better shape.
