A terrible place to go if you're a woman. First question I was asked (before giving them any of my information) is if my "husband" will be co-signing.
Secondly, he asked if I am in between appointments as I'm a realtor?! I didn't give him any information other than my name so I'm assuming he googled me?!
Third, I waited for approximately 10 minutes for a sales person to approach me. After noticing many male sales people hanging around, I assumed it wouldn't be more than a minute but I was wrong. I had to go up to a cashier and ask for help before a sales guy hesitantly volunteered to assist me.
I told my sales guy that I had a Lincoln MKX in the past so I'm considering getting another one.
He literally told me there's nothing he can do to help me because I don't have a traditional job and my spouse isn't on the application. If I don't have a traditional job, ask for my most recent tax return or bank statement as supplement proof of income. Also, why assume we need financing? Here's a huge tip, don't assume what anyone makes based on their gender or age.
I literally cried on my way home because it's the first time in my life that I was treated like no one because I wasn't accompanied by a man.
The sad part is I really liked the car and we probably would've come back to buy it.
After I wrote this, I noticed another review from someone who mentions the sexism here. It's sad really..
