Adrian has been running this place for years now and its a prime location to be in. Nestled in the heart of the McGill Ghetto, there's an in-built guarantee that the book selection here will be superior to most other second-hand book shops because of McGill students and faculty who come and go over the years. When people leave town and move away, one of the first things they let go of are their books. No frills, no signage, The Word is as basic as it gets. If you're looking for a particular title or author and it is not on the shelves, just ask Adrian. I went in once looking for books by Lewis Mumford after reading about him in green anarchist Derrick Jensen's books and Adrian knew exactly what I wanted and knew who Mumford was. Normally if I had asked that question in a generic, corporate cookie-cutter book store, the salesclerk would only have a blank expression on their face. No clue. Nice to come to places where people know their stuff.
