Yeah, so I can't really comment on other people's trouble with the service, but our experience at Scarpetta was excellent - we were seated right away, and enjoyed very attentive (if not too attentive) service the whole night But the reason Scarpetta gets a 5 star rating from me is the food - it's incredible The fact that various media outlets are giving it a 2.5 or even 3 star and suggesting it's not as good as Terroni is a total joke. It's without question in another league. The preparations are way more complex, and the flavours way more interesting Toronto really doesn't have a restaurant in the same league at this point, perhaps Buca, but otherwise it'll take a trip down to NYC to visit one of Batali's amazing places to beat this one Hopefully Mr. Conant finds some happier servers to deliver his amazing food to those lucky enough to get in (given all the complaining about how snooty the wait staff is - again, not my experience) because we should be happy we have a place of this calibre in this city, and hopefully more chefs will bring this type of inventive food to our great city!
