I have to laugh when I read reviews that are so clearly written to put down one business in order to boost another. Anyone with a kid who has shopped in Toronto has had to put up with lousy service at one time or another. I've been to Mom's to Be and have to say I hate that place. Call me picky but I don't like the cramped space, I found the staff rude, save one lovely guy and I live downtown anyway. Ella and Elliot is a great store; there's no denying that. They will match any price if there seems to be any discrepancy between theirs and the price at another store. Lan T. maybe you should have asked ... it's pretty hard to keep up with what your competitors are charging. I find most retailers will match a lower price.
One thing you can count on at E+E is that they will always have unique pieces that you can't find elsewhere or, at the very least, get the coolest stuff first and then it turns up at Kol Kid and MTB.
I was helped into to E+E with my stroller, had my purchase carried to the car and was overall pretty satisfied with the customer service. To be honest, if I feel ignored in a store and actually need help, I ask very politely and find that I usually get good service in return. Please, people, just bear in mind that sales staff are there to help you but they are human too -- I invite you to take a moment and honestly consider how courteous you are as a customer, a driver, a pedestrian... We often get what we give.
