We booked an appointment with this company for a carpet cleaning, but after booking it I read all the negative reviews of this company I really started to doubt my decision. But since, I had already moved my furniture and my carpet needed cleaning and I felt it would be rude to cancel.
But, in reality, I shouldn't have felt bad about canceling at all. I wish I had followed my instinct.
The first time we made an appointment, they gave us a range of 4-6 p.m. By 5:30 p.m., no one had come, so we called to check to see the status. They said that they had "lost" our appointment. They then offered to set up an appointment the next day, this time from 2-3 p.m. Again, a no show (as well as no call). Around 4:15 I called to tell them they were no longer needed. This time they said a van was "on its way" and just five miles away. Also, the issue of the first missed appointment was due to a van issue (recall previously that they had told us that it was because of a missed appointment.)
I let them know that I had re-arranged my schedule TWICE to accommodate this company. He responded, and I quote, "If you've waited two days, what's five more miles?" He then went on to talk about how AT&T has a lot of complaints, but people still use them, which has to be the worst argument for using a business in the history of running a business.
In conclusion, Caravan Carpet Cleaners treats its customers horribly and deserves no trust considering they blew off two appointments without any communication on their end whatsoever. The person I spoke with was on the phone was rude, and instead of dealing with my concerns, apologizing for their errors or offering any sort of concession/discount, he made excuses and seemed to dismiss how bad their service was.
Although, in a way, I should be thanking them. We were told that their cleaning would take just 30 minutes. How good could it have been in 30 minutes? Judging by their terrible reviews I would have been just as mad as I am now, just with less money that I could have lit it on fire, since that would have been equally as productive as this company.
I would rather have a 20 pound bag of ball bearings dropped on my genitals before I would ever consider using this company again.
