What an overrated attraction. I came here once in 2004 and then today. I thought it wasn't good in 2004 but was still disappointed today. The only word I can think of using to describe this was is "lame". We couldn't go into half the houses/exhibits. It was supposed to Once Upon a Christmas in the village but there were no carollers. The line at the bakery was painfully slow. I ordered minced meat tarts and the girl working there actually said, "ew" and one of the other girls said, "apparently they're British". You don't even know what you sell? It's not like the bakery has a super extensive selection of goods. And at 1:30 we went to go and get food so we went to the restaurant there. I go up to the hostess and ask how long the wait time is and she tells me the restaurant is full. I said I figured that (there were people waiting out front) so I asked again how long it'd be if I put my name on a list. And she tells me again that it's full. So I asked if we could come back in an hour and she snottily looked at me and said that it's still be full and that I can't eat there. Lol sorry but you're in a weird old-timey dress at heritage park, you're not the hostess at a super exclusive club. So after all that, we just decided to leave. We ate at the railroad cafe just outside the gate and it had mediocre sandwiches. I give it 2 stars bcs the little model train was cool and we liked the gasoline alley museum. It's very overrated and I'll probably not ever go back.
