First, Kumon is not a pre-school. It is for students age 2-18 or older. Also, the price for math or reading is 125$. Because we have been customers here, i can explain that the reason it is that much to start off with is because when they start, they collect the starting for the month and for the end of the months for the next month to ensure that the contract we sign is in order.
The Kumon staff may seem young, but their staff are either past students who have completed the program or people who excelled really well and can teach the topics Kumon enforces. It ranges from counting to calculus in math and from recognition to Shakespearean language, analysis etc in reading.
The owner and her family are very hands on with their students and treat everyone like family. They are very accessible if you need to talk to them or have a question or problem. We have had nothing but pleasant experiences with this particular center and have followed them from their first location at buffalo and lake mead to trailwoods at town center. My brother is now ahead in his math studies and got pushed two years ahead in his math classes. Kumon is also the reason that he started reading earlier than most kids his age. I would recommend this place to every parent who is looking for an after school activity that will help enrich their children's education.
